This Garador Mark 3 was originally installed around the early 1970s and until recently was still functional.
A failed spring, 1 of 2 supported above the door finally gave up after 50 years of working and a service was required.
Luckily we keep all the parts on our vehicle so a same day repair wasn’t a problem.
Firstly supporting the door to remove 50 years of old grease and dirt before replacing the spindles.
Followed by a new spring box assembly containing 2 new springs and cables resulted in the door physically being as good as new.
